in the sun i am lost amongst the shadows
in the sun i am searching for a higher low
in the sun i am trying a new way to hide
in the sun i am trying to fight against the tide
all the days i am hitting highs
are all the days i'm the lowest of them all
take away the days of my life
replace them with a broken wall
in the night i am lost as i have always been
in the night i am searching what i have not seen
in the night i am looking for a way to cast aside
in the night i am breaking rules in which i cannot abide
seek thee the life in which i cannot know
you want me to be like you
search until you destroy that in which
you know will always be true
in the light i am causing a new transgression
in the light i am lost in a mental regression
