Manuel FernandezMuch time has passed, but I wonder why after so much work roll a single and video for the song Forever After, and not part of the setlist of the tour in 2005 .... I see is a waste of time and interviews no sense referring to that song in particular.
I wonder if you ever sing or be part of the new setlist for this 2015 .. ??3 days ago

Nicolas GouineauMalgré les évolutions de styles, Paradise Lost est le seul groupe dont j'aime absolument tout les albums. Et ce dernier est juste sublime de noirceur. Un must.4 days ago · 5
Darkness is Heaven, with you !3 days ago · 4

It’s somewhat impossible to talk about long-running British goth metal band Paradise Lost without talking about pop music. The reason for this is twofold. First, because Paradise Lost were, for a fe...
Lax Madapaty“Terminal” rides on a soaring guest female vocal hook" - really? My version of Terminal didn't have any guest female vocal hooks on them. Perhaps Joseph meant An Eternity of Lies or perhaps it is a case of invisible oranges. Now if only he heard Fear of Silence, he'd scream Pop Metal indeed. :-)7 days ago · 3

Lax Madapaty"the classic metal sound that the band returned to once they decided to no longer imitate Depeche Mode and The Sisters of Mercy" LOL. imagine the guys sitting around and telling one another, "lets stop imitating DM and SoM" LOL. it's one thing to be influenced by other bands which is quite natural, it's another to decide to imitate them.7 days ago · 2
Jonathan VelázquezListening to this album is like being in the early 90's. It is to feel and listen to early PL, early anathema and celestial season. It is the most honest and doomy proposal nowadays. Congrats to PL to always reinvent yourself and surprise to the fans and not fans of the band. This is without a doubt the best album of the year!7 days ago · 4
Morven DuffyAs someone who has listened to Paradise since Gothic, or before even... And also owns some Gwen Stefani.... Can I point out that pop has a meaning these days other than 'abbreviation for popular'. So don't call these boys pop!
I don't hear either Depeche or Sisters BTW, might be the ages we are? *nearly born in the eighties*6 days ago
Oded RegevWhen the writer talked about 'Terminal' he meant 'An eternity of lies'.. BTW it a good read.
Great album.6 days ago

Jacek PopławskiI listened to this album about 50 times already and I think the first 10 plays were most difficult, because this album has layers. I hate terrible PL albums they have released, but this one is very good. I think you should look at Opeth to see how to play soft and good music instead produce crap for money like PL did before. You should just use different name than "Paradise Lost" for albums like Host or Symbol of Life.6 days ago

Martina RadulovicParadise Lost has better albums then this one like Draconian Times, Icon, Tragic Idol and Paradise Lost which are my fav (along with some others)... but in this one I like ´˝ No Hope In Sight˝- the song is great! But it's not the most appealing album to me....sorry1 week ago · 3

Carl WrightMaybe it's just me, I think the album is a tad overrated compared to icon and draconian times. It's v good, but it's not great in my opinion, and that's all it is! To each his own..1 week ago · 1
Somni MorteJust because PL had an album named gothic, doesn't make their music gothic metal. Just as their early albums were death doom, so too is "the plague within".1 week ago · 2
Jimmie LeePlague within was more funeral doom than gothic metal, which is an interesting route to take conisdering their initial roots in death doom. True Paradise Lost are one of the pied pipers of the gothic metal movement, but they started out as death doom enthusiasts up to the point of draconian times.1 week ago · 3
Derek D. BuckI love The Plague Within, but I totally disagree with sentiments like the line quoted from this review. The album that should've followed Draconian Times was One Second—that record is amazing.
What makes Paradise Lost such a special band, to me, is that they've taken so many unique twists and turns with their sound. From being a progenitor of death/doom to doing the same for gothic metal to...whatever Host and Believe In Nothing were...they always take risks. Sometimes, those risks work. Sometimes, they don't. But to wish Paradise Lost hadn't taken those risks is silly.
It's what makes them Paradise Lost.1 week ago · 79
Stefan SchröderWithout "One Second" my life would be poorer. I still enjoy each and every second, it was their all-time masterpiece. In short, in terms of claim, musicality and songwriting, no other PL record including "The Plague Within" can keep up with "One Second" . If anything, it´s "Host" - "One Second" is the album that followed "Draconian Times". The best step they ever took in their carreer which I use to call "To "Host" and Back".1 week ago · 8
Paul CairneyI was the one who wrote this review. Firstly, I can't disagree with any of your viewpoints in here, my review of The Plague Within was my own belief and was very subjective and each of you are entitled to your own belief. By saying that PL should have released this album after Draconian Times, I knew that many would disagree with me. (I am becoming known as 'Controversial Cairney' with the guys at the website. Personally, I thought One Second was a very good album, but it started the band down a path I couldn't follow, my musical tastes were heading in a different direction and so I lost touch with their music (even though I still bought a good few albums). My review doesn't criticise the band, I always bring it back to my own subjective opinion. I say that the albums went in a downward spiral, 'in my eyes at least' but that they improved as musicians. I go on to say that the album isn't a 'return to form', but that it is acknowledging their roots and that they maintain their artistic integrity. I actually applaud the guys for their journey. They could easily have churned out standard Death Metal fodder prior to Icon but they didn't. Each album is a progression and has led them to be the band they are today. The Plague Within is a brilliant album and I personally would have loved it to have been released after Draconian Times. Anyway guys, thanks for reading the review and tolerating my facebook ramblings on here! Paradise Lost have picked up a lapsed fan!1 week ago · 5

Fabian MüllerThe debut album, Gothic, Shades of god, Icon, Draconian times, Paradise Lost and now The plague within. Shit, I have no favorite PL album, I love them all! And the good thing: These gentlemen seem to have lots more to come for the future. Just two more months till Summer Breeze Festival. Already jerking my pants 😎😜1 week ago · 1
Stuart LarwoodDead right! Draconian Times is a classic. The plague within is doomy where Paradise Lost should have stayed.1 week ago
Nathan Metalkommando McCarthythere is no way they could of made this album without the previous back catalogue... as all aspects from the back catalogue shine through, i have my upmost favourite albums, Draconian, Symbol of life, Icon,Shades of God, One Second, Untitled Paradise Lost, Requiem, Tragic Idol, even Host - which i wish they would re-record with the new sound to include guitars... as i have heard tracks from it live and they sound awesome... each album has their own time and place and mood, but to be honest they have not released a bad or poor album in my eyes, each has its own soul and is a progression in the life of Paradise Lost... i do not agree with the status from above as the band have grown to this level and deserve all the attention they are receiving now... this album is contender for 'album of the year', but as i am a truer than true fan i will be shouted down by others not so like minded... i really can't wait for the next chapter and masterpiece as i know they will deliver, i know its greedy but with a band such as Paradise Lost you always want more of a very good thing... if you have not had the chance to bless your ears with this masterpiece, then please do yourself a favour and blast it louder than hell...1 week ago
Þorsteinn ThorarensenThat's a bit unfair ... while Draconian Times was my first taste of Paradise Lost, One Second came at the perfect moment for me, and Host remains one of my favorite albums (not just from Paradise Lost but from any band).1 week ago
Fran M. Martin SanchezI don't agree with the point that "this should have been the album released after D. T.". I LOVE "One Second" and all your more melodic but dark albums (and I hope you guys remember that there are lots of people who also love from "One Second" to "Paradise Lost" epoch). I would like to listen all that electronica part that finally didn't get into The Plague!!! ;)1 week ago · 4
MD PetrèusI LOVE every paradise lost record and I never had reasons to critics for them. The last one is killer to. No sense to change order no sense to anything. ParadiseLost is a "love it or hate it" band.1 week ago
Алекса Бајловачки"The Plague Within’ is the album that should have been released after the legendary ‘Draconian Times".... Well, I couldn`t agree more. Honestly, I`m not a fan of after-Draconian era. PL for me is a prototype of true death/doom metal band, and it should stay this way.1 week ago
Phil HingertyShades of God, Icon, Draconian Times, Tragic Idol and The Plague Within are my main faves but I love every single album PL has released in its own unique way and seen the majority of UK tours supporting each album. Have enjoyed every single show. It's amazing how broad a range the band have covered and yet still, they've always sounded like PL and no one else. Was actually listening to Host and Believe in Nothing today at work, there's some cracking tracks on both albums. Think I'll give Shades and Gothic a spin this eve.1 week ago
Adrian TomaIt should have been before Icon..to be optimistic. Why so many people mistake "going back to the roots" with adding a few more growls that don't make too much sense? In fact what means "going back to the roots" for PL? Going back to death metal ? I don't think so. it's not death metal that made PL stand out from the rest of the metal bands...but gothic metal. Heavy..melodic...melancholic (even electronic...) gothic metal. To my opinion death metal is quite a primitive genre of metal music...so...I think it makes no sense for a band to try to go back to something more primitive. That's not evolution...that's involution. Sorry to say that..1 week ago · 1
Mikkel NordvigIn my humble opinion, every track - every single note - from Paradise Lost is an amazing pjece of art and bears a special meaning to me.1 week ago · 4
Carlos RodriguesI disagree.of course it should have been released after the shades of god cd.icon and dragonian times marked the song strucuture era and more acessible and this new stuff goes between the pl first álbum, gothic, shades of god.1 week ago
Eric SyreIt's funny to read rewiers who act like they know everything and whose opinion should stand as what is and what's not. Paradise Lost did whatever they wanted and they got respect from their audience for doing so. Some albums might have been more welcomed than others but the band always went ahead. I find it even a bit weird to see them reverting to heavier music as this could actually be considered a 'sell-out' since the climate is more welcoming for heavy music, again.1 week ago
Mario BrekaloDraconian Times has brilliant songs on it, but its a copy of icon and therefore the only album cycle where i lost interest in PL. The plague within is my absolute favourite PL record, i still cant believe its the case, but its so unbelievably brilliant1 week ago

Mark RoseWhy is the reviewer apparently writing off all albums from 'One Second' to 'Tragic Idol'.. with the exception of 'Believe In Nothing' which is weak quite frankly (and an album even PL themselves would rather forget about I think), all albums are worthy of being a part of their back catalogue.1 week ago · 1
Daithí KerwinI have to admit Tragic Idol is my favorite Paradise Lost album. That album is a masterpiece I will listen to it constantly for the rest of my life.1 week ago
Eric PetersonI hope you guys will come back to the states again. I've seen you 3 out of the 4 times you've toured in the U.S. and I have to say your live performances are unmatched. It's a shame that the U.S. Has a lot of ignorant people that listen to shitty pop crap, but there are some of us that actually appreciate musicians with integrity and talent such as the members of your band.1 week ago · 2
